Truancy Prevention

Diversion Program

Our History

K/S Consultants was founded in 2000 by Glenn R. Kaiser, Jr. and Dr. Peter Syre, Jr. to offer services for the Bucks and Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth and Juvenile Probation to provide in-home counseling services. In October 2016 Dr. Syre retired, and Mr. Kaiser remained as the Executive Director of both agencies. In September 2019 Dr. Rose Watkins, joined K/S Consultants, and was named the Clinical Director. The community-based services are designed to improve parenting skills, individual functioning, and school attendance and performance. In addition, K/S-MST and K/S are diversion programs to avoid placement for at-risk youths. We use a total ecology approach, including both family & individual therapy along with educational/career consultation, provided in collaboration with Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery and Northampton Counties' Offices of Children & Youth, Juvenile Probation Offices, and School Districts. As of July 1st, 2007, we at K/S Consultants started providing MST services as a new agency K/S-MST to Bucks County, adding Montgomery County in June 2009 and Lehigh County in 2015. K/S-MST currently has 5 teams serving youth & families in Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh, & Northampton Counties.

Client Testimonial

Our at-home advisor was an amazing emotional support for my child and our family. She was great at being able to help us understand our child’s position, while helping our child understand ours. She was a great balance and really helped us become a support for one another. Although it took a while for our child to admit it, he was grateful for our advisor and even looked forward to her visits.

To All K/S Consultants & K/S-MST Staff and Clients,

As we continue to monitor COVID-19/Coronavirus events, the health and safety of our families and staff is of utmost importance to us.  Please continue to monitor governing agencies for your communities’ specific directives.  Many preventive measures and pertinent information can be found at www.CDC.gov and www.health.PA.gov.  Additionally, please refer to your County’s websites, specifically your County’s Health Department.

K/S Consultants and K/S-MST have implemented Telehealth as of March 16, 2019. All treatment and services will be provided via Telehealth until face-to-face sessions are permissible by our Stakeholders.  Please note there will be NO Truancy Program Services provided until Counties’ Stakeholders & School Districts determine a date to resume services .  If Truancy Program clients need consultation with a Clinician they may call.  All K/S Offices will be closed during this period, as all employees will be working remotely from home.  Please call 911 for any emergency.

Eliminating face-to-face consultations between clinicians and children/families will also greatly reduce the potential risk to exposure.
